As C. S. Lewis, the great Oxford professor and author, once said “Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become.”
What a blessing to have the liberty to read and study the great works of world-renowned authors. We should never take this privilege for granted.
